The Three Churches

In Antwerp boasts several “Monumental Churches”. We shall visit three of them.

We start with the St. Paul's Church.  In 1968 this church became well known because of a disastrous fire.  This church contains a huge treasure of artwork.  It is the only building in the world where Rubens, Van Dyck en Jordaens can be admired together at their place of origin.

Next we'll visit the St. Charles Borromeo Church, a former church of the Antwerp Jesuits, at the time known as the “marble temple”.

It goes without saying that we end our walk in the unforgettable Cathedral of Our Lady, a masterpiece of gothic architecture. Just like the other churches this cathedral has a fascinating and flamboyant history.

We start at the entrance of St. Paul's Churcj at the St. Paulusstraat and end at the Cathedral after about two hours.
Tours will only take place in the afternoon at 14.00 hrs, because of the opening hours of the churches.
For the same reason visits can take place every day between April 1 and October 31. From November 1 till March 31 visits are only possible during the weekend except during school holidays.

We ask owners of an A-card to bring their card to avoid paying entrance fees in the churches.

Duration of the walk : 2 hours
Price : 95,00 € per group. Max 20 peoplein a group.

Departure:  St.Paul's Church at the St. Paulusstraat
